We’ve known the name Best Buy for years. Question is this – is Best Buy on Black Friday 2012 the place to go to get the best buy. I’ll pick 1 product from each page of the Best Buy Black Friday 2012 ad and do a little shop and compare.
On page 1 of the Best Buy Black Friday ad my eyes fall on the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 for $179.99. Plus you get a Best Buy Gift Card worth $20. My daughter just bought this tablet – she loves it – for $199. Amazon has it for $197. So the Black Friday price of $179.99 minus $20 value for the gift card means your net cost would be $159.99. Yep, that’s a Best Buy!
Let’s check out page 2. I immediately stop and take a look at the Klipsch Icon Dual 8” 2 Way Floor speaker. Let me start by saying Klipsch speakers are great. They have been around for almost 50 years and are famous for their clean sound. They are so good that many big time bands use Klipsch exclusively. The Icon Dual 8's are highly rated and retail for about $500. Right now you can buy 1 at Amazon for $489.00. That’s not a deal. But the Best Buy Black Friday price of $224.99 – that’s 2 for $449.98 – that’s 2 speakers at Best Buy cheaper than 1 speaker at Amazon. Yep, that’s a Best Buy!
Page 3 – I check out the HP Desktop computer, i3 processor, 6GB of memory, 1TB hard drive for $349.99 I like a bargain so I go to the Dell Outlet website. At Dell I find a certified refurbished Inspirion 660, i3 processor, 6GB of memory, 1TB hard drive for $419.00. If I wait for Dell to send me their 15% coupon, I can get the Dell for about $356. I’m surprised, but again the nod goes to Best Buy.
That’s 3 in a row for Best Buy’s Black Friday prices. I have to admit I’m surprised. I thought I could get a better buy than Best Buy on these items. I humbly congratulate Best Buy for a Black Friday sale well done.
